Tall hand thrown heavy ceramic pot finished in a matt buff coloured glaze, with hand painted design to front and back.
This is a really lovely piece, full of rustic charm and would make a striking point of interest in any interior scheme.
We particularly love the way the handles have been roughly applied, openly celebrating the mark of the maker's hand upon the surface of the vessel.
The hand painted motif is reminiscent of Japanese brushwork, so it could be Japanese in origin, although there's no signature.
