The sweetest little French ceramic lidded pot, finished with a lovely glossy glaze and hand painted decoration.
Made in Pornic, Brittany, by Faïencerie de Pornic, which started making pottery in 1947 and is still in production to this day.

M.B.F.A PORNIC, (Manufacture Bretonne de Faiences Artistiques), Faiences being the French word for 'Pottery'
Peint à la main (painted by hand)
PALMYRE (the name of this particular decorative motif)
