Hand Printed Letterpress Card | Hello, How Are You?

£2.50

A beautifully simple hand printed letterpress card using traditional craft techniques. An exquisite way to send a note, the old fashioned way.

These cards started life as an image posted by Mabel & Co on Instagram at the start of the January 2021 lockdown, asking how everyone was doing. Many people got in touch to say they would like to see them printed as a card which they could send to friends and family to let them know they were thinking of them at such a difficult time. We think this is a lovely idea - a hand written note is a treat to savour in the age of fast paced digital communication.

The card fronts are typeset in British Rail Alphabet, which was designed by Jock Kinneir & Margaret Calvert in 1965 for British Rail, but also used by other Public Sector bodies, such as the NHS.

The cards and boxes are hand letterpress printed on a treadle powered press, built around 1860, and following its restoration, still going strong some 160 years later.

Specifications:

100% recycled card and envelope.

Natural Linseed Oil ink.

Individual card wrapped in plastic free, compostable cellophane.
